2 suspects wanted after armed robbery at Macy’s in Baldwin Hills, LAPD says

BALDWIN HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A search was underway for two suspects after a late morning armed robbery at a department store in Baldwin Hills, authorities said Sunday.

The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. at Macy’s at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Early reports of gunshots turned out to be unfounded, investigators said, adding the sound was likely that of smashed storefront glass. An unknown quantity of goods was taken away during the robbery.

The two suspects fled in a silver four-door Lexus, authorities said.

They are described as follows: a man in his twenties wearing a black Champion sweater and another man wearing a gray Puma sweater armed with a pistol. Both men are about six feet tall, police said.

No injuries were reported.
